Privacy Policy
Updated October 21, 2026. Kiến Tạo Sử is a browser game; this page says plainly what the game stores about you.
1. Playing without an account
You can play without signing in. The game then stores data only in your browser (localStorage): the run in progress (an encoded code), the speed, the music settings, the achievements you have earned and a random code that identifies the browser. This random code contains no personal information.
When a run ends, the server stores that run's result (score, title, deviation from history, ending year) together with the browser's random code, so it can later be attached to an account if you register.
2. When you sign in
Sign in with e-mail or Google to keep your results, appear on the leaderboard and post on the forum. We then store:
- Your e-mail address (and, if you use Google, the display name and profile picture Google provides). We only ask for permission to see basic information (e-mail, profile) — we do not read your mail, contacts or other Google data.
- The nickname you choose (shown publicly on the leaderboard and the forum).
- The results of your runs, and the earlier runs from this browser, attached to your account.
- Posts, replies, bug reports and votes on the forum (public, except the device information in a bug report, which only the administrators can see).
Your sign-in session is kept with a sign-in cookie. Advertising cookies appear only on some pages, see section 8.
3. What the data is used for
- Running the game, the leaderboard, the forum and the news.
- Preventing fraud and abuse: IP addresses are used temporarily to limit the number of calls to the server and are not kept long term.
- Sending the sign-in e-mail when you ask for it. We do not send advertising.
We do not sell, rent or share your account data (e-mail, nickname, run results, posts) with third parties for advertising. Some pages carry Google advertising (section 8); the site uses no behavior analytics tools.
4. Where it is stored
The game runs on our own server (a VPS). Accounts, run results, the forum and the news are stored in the Supabase database service; signing in with Google goes through Google. These are the only infrastructure providers that process data for us (apart from Google's advertising, section 8).
5. Your rights
- Change your nickname at any time on the Account page.
- Delete the data in your browser: clear the site data for kientaosu.online in your browser settings.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your account and the data that goes with it: send the request through the Feedback section of the forum (or contact the administrators on the forum). We handle it within 30 days.
6. Children
The game suits all ages. People under 16 should have a parent's consent before creating an account.
7. Changes
When the policy changes, we update this page and show the update date at the top; major changes will be announced in the News section.
8. Advertising
To keep the game free, some pages carry Google AdSense advertising: the home page, News, the Forum (topic list), the Leaderboard and Achievements. The game screen, the sign-in page and the admin pages never carry ads. Every ad is labeled “Advertisement”.
- Google and third-party advertising partners use cookies (and similar technologies) to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to measure views and to prevent fraud.
- Advertising cookies are set by Google, not by us; we do not send Google your e-mail, nickname or run data.
- You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party advertising providers' cookies at aboutads.info.
- How Google uses data from sites that use Google's services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Consent: where the law requires it (for example the EU, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the site shows Google's consent dialog before using advertising cookies; you can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link in that dialog. If you refuse cookies you can still play fully, and any ads will not be personalized.
